I spent my Sunday Funday with my bestie Ace in lovely downtown San Diego. Ace is a mission for some new sweaters and comfy shoes.
I'm very honest with my friends when it comes clothes. I'm very blunt if I think something look ugly or unflattering. Ace knows to take my brutal honesty without getting butt hurt. I want my friends to look their best. And it's my honored duty as a
Ace's shopping partner to be honest.
I rejected a few "old man" sweaters and shoes throughout our hunt. We found success at Blends, but Ace cannot purchase the shoes till next Saturday. Boo. Ace also found great success at good ol' Urban Outfitters. He found a sick black Levi's denim jacket and I loved it on him. He had to get it and of course he did.
As were ready to checkout, I spotted this hot black leather biker vest. I try it on and like it. Then I saw this really cute dusty pink leather moto vest. I'm so torn between these 2 great finds. Ace being awesome, takes pictures of me rocking them. Mirrors lie and cameras don't. Haha. I lost enough weight that the extra smalls are a better fit. All those hours at the gym are paying off. Treating myself today is a good reward for all my hard work. I take a good 20 minutes on deciding between them. I never buy leather apparel for full price. I always stock up on leather goods off season. Its a tough call to allow myself to slurge on leather when its in season. It's totally out of character of me.
Finally I go for the dusty pink vest. We get in the very long line. I for some odd reason decide to look at my wonderful find's tag. I was shock to find out that the vest is made of some poly shit! Fake faux leather. Ewwww! As if I pay nearly $100 for fake leather. I dropped the vest like hot potato. ( as Red would say " Thao, that's so valley girl of you").
Ace being a true friend, didn't show any annoyance for waiting so long for me to make a decision and then bail on it, I love my bestie!
Lesson of the day: patience + honesty = a beautiful friendship.
