Meant to be?

All of those near and dear to me are aware of all the work difficulties I have been suffering lately. My stress levels are so high that I have decided to walk away from the good paying job in order to be happy again. I am so relieved that I finally figured what's best for me.

I started to pursue other opportunities that have presented themselves to me. When one door closes, several doors open. Several several doors open!

I also wanted to exit my current hellhole as soon as possible. I was given the advice to exit via medical leave. Stress related medical leave to be specific. Sounds like a legit idea. Unfortunately, my body has been slowly shutting down due to all the stress I'm undergoing. Breaking out is no fun, getting a nasty cold during the summertime is so random and my eyes are busted again.

My eyes are especially alarming that I went to the optometry today. I was under the impression that i had dry itchy eyes and maybe an eye infection. My vision started to blur last night, but I figured my contacts were shifting because they were dry. Well Dr. Lum gave me bad news. I have bad corneal abrasions in both eyes, the right eye is especially worse off. My vision is so blurred that I can hardly see with my glasses and contacts on. I have to press things up to my nose in order to see or read. In order to treat my eyes I have to get my eyes healthy enough to start steroid treatment. Healing and treating my eyes will take up to 4 weeks or 3 months worse case scenario.

Every night I pray to my dad to watch out for our family and our well being. For months I've been asking for him help with this stress. Perhaps going on this medical was meant to be. Its my dad's way of looking out for me. He knows I'm desperate to exit ps and get my stress levels down. And I need to be happy-go-lucky again. I'm taking this time to collect myself and find peace again.

Lesson of the day: everything happens for a reason. Bad news can often be your way out of a bad situation. It's all meant to be.
